Georgia: job fair in Kakheti with EU support

On June 21, a job fair was held at the Vazha-Pshavela Professional State Drama Theatre in Telavi, Kakheti. The event was organised with the financial support of the European Union.

The aim of the job fair was to promote the employment of young people, internally displaced persons, people without work experience, the long-term unemployed and vulnerable groups.

A total of 35 small, medium and large companies presented up to 120 vacancies and opportunities in their employment and internship programmes. More than 300 job seekers attended the event and had the opportunity to meet a potential employer, apply for open positions, and demonstrate their skills through direct communication.

The event was attended by representatives of the EU Delegation in Georgia, State Employment Support Agency, vocational schools, public organisations, local governments, employers and job seekers, local businesses and other stakeholders.
