The EU Delegation to Armenia has supported the establishment of the Kaleidoscope rural libraries in Kaps, Marmashen, Mayisyan, and Ashotsk communities, and a youth centre with a library in Pemzashen community, the Delegation announced today.
These initiatives were implemented by Local Action Groups (LAGs) as part of the EU LEAD4Shirak project.
“Libraries are more than shelves of books — they are spaces where young people learn, connect, and discover new opportunities,” the EU Delegation to Armenia said in a Facebook post.
On the occasion of Europe Day, EU Ambassador Vassilis Maragos donated copies of the Armenian translation of a novel by Greek writer Costas Taktsis to the libraries in the three LAG communities.
