EU Partnership Mission in Moldova and Ministry of Internal Affairs sign Cooperation Plan for 2026

On 6 April, the European Union Partnership Mission in the Republic of Moldova (EUPM) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova signed a Cooperation Plan for 2026.

The plan further consolidates both institutions’ joint efforts to strengthen Moldova’s resilience and reinforce the capacity of its institutions to prevent, prepare for, and respond effectively to crises and hybrid threats.

“The 2026 Cooperation Plan builds on the progress achieved so far and reaffirms our shared commitment to supporting Moldova’s security sector, enhancing law enforcement capabilities, including secure communications, and promoting stronger operational cooperation between national authorities and EU partners,” EUPM said in a press release.

The meeting also acknowledged the forthcoming conclusion of the mandate of Ambassador Cosmin Dinescu as Head of Mission.
