EU-Moldova joint internship programme launches its five edition

Sixty-four young participants, selected from nearly 200 candidates, will work alongside civil servants in government agencies for two months as part of a joint internship programme organised by the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova.

The official launch event of the fifth edition of the programme took place in Chisinau, Moldova, on 1 July.

Programme graduates who receive a ‘very good’ evaluation from their mentors will be eligible for civil service positions without having to take a competitive exam or serve a probationary period.

During the internship, each participant will receive a monthly stipend of €250, provided by the European Union and Denmark as part of the ‘Moldova is Europe: Support for EU Integration’ project.

More than 200 young people have already completed the first four cohorts of the programme, and over 20 of them are already working in the civil service.
