EU initiative Georgia Goes Green organises Repair & Reuse Day this Sunday in Tbilisi

The EU initiative ‘Georgia Goes Green’ in partnership with the social enterprise ‘Ventylator’ invites residents of the Georgian capital Tbilisi to take part in the ‘Repair & Reuse Day’ this Sunday, 14 June.

The event aims to promote a culture of repair, reuse and waste reduction, while demonstrating that repairing, sharing and choosing second-hand are smart, modern and responsible choices.

The event will take place at Orbeliani Garden, 16 Anton Purtsekadze st, from 12:00 to 20:00.

Participants are invited to bring with them items for repair: electronics, clothing and textile, shoes and leather goods, silver jewellery and accessories, bags, bicycles, small household appliances, watches, vinyl record players and retro audio equipment, ceramics and home décor, and soft toys.

You can also bring and dispose of your waste (plastic, aluminum, paper/cardboard) at the ‘Parki ar Minda’ stand.

Those taking part in the activities, will be able to collect stamps and exchange them for symbolic eco-friendly gifts.
