A total of 28 Ukrainians out of 3,103 winners of the 2025 call will study at Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programmes at universities in EU member states and worldwide funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme.
Twenty-five female and three male students from Ukraine will start their studies this autumn at the leading universities of Austria, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom. The main subject areas range from Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity to Intellectual Property and Data Law, and Migration and Intercultural Relations, etc.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are unique master degree programmes developed by a consortium of a minimum of two European universities which provide grants that fully cover the study programme, travel costs, insurance, visa support, scholarship of €1,000 per month, etc. In addition to their main curricula, students will be enrolled at language courses, traineeships, learn about the countries of their stay, and discover and enjoy new cultures together with fellow students from around the world.
Between 2014 and 2025, 416 Ukrainian students have won Erasmus Mundus scholarships. In total, 727 Ukrainians, including teachers, Master and PhD students have benefited from Erasmus Mundus Joint Programmes. Erasmus Mundus Alumni are working in different sectors of public service, state, private, national and international organisations in Ukraine and worldwide.
Also, ten organisations from Ukraine have become winners of the Joint Master Action Programme. Four Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters projects involving eight Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions and two business companies from Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv and Ternopil were selected for funding. The Ukrainian organisations will be working in international consortia with 111 partners from 43 countries.
