On 31 January, an EU-funded modern laboratory was inaugurated in Chisinau, Moldova, to help Moldovan law enforcement agencies in the fight against cybercrime.

The laboratory’s capabilities will enable enhanced digital investigations, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, tools, resources and expertise to tackle the most complex cyber security challenges.

The European Union provided €1.1 million in grant funding.

The laboratory was opened under the EU4SecurityMoldova project funded by the European Union and implemented by CEPOL (European Union Law Enforcement Training Agency).
