Brussels hosts photo exhibition ‘Georgia in Focus’

The European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels has hosted a photo exhibition ‘Georgia in Focus’.

“The exhibition brings into focus some of the most defining moments of Georgia’s past decade, captured by Georgian documentary photographers,” the EU Delegation to Georgia said in a Facebook post. “The exhibition also serves as a tribute to the resilience, professionalism, and courage of independent Georgian journalists, who continue to document reality – often under challenging conditions.”

‘Georgia in Focus’ features photographs collected through the EU Delegation’s to Georgia longstanding initiative, the EU Prize for Journalism.

“What you see in these photographs are the people of Georgia. They are truly European, and their rightful place is in Europe. I remain hopeful that Georgia will return to the path of EU integration,” said the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Paweł Herczyński, at the opening of the exhibition.

Having already travelled across several cities in Georgia, the exhibition will remain in Brussels until the end of the month.
