Armenia: Impact Hub Syunik for small businesses opens with EU support

On 3 November, Impact Hub Syunik, a regional hub focusing on small businesses in the region, opened in Syunik with the support of the EU.

The hub will assist entrepreneurs in dealing with problems that have arisen since the escalation of the conflict with Azerbaijan, which are particularly faced by vulnerable groups.

The Impact Hub Syunik was established with EU co-funding as part of the ‘Stronger Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Syunik – Supporting Vulnerable and Displaced People’ (SEES) project.

“We intend to provide comprehensive assistance to Syunik and support local economic development and SME development, building on our experience in regional development programing and programmes to support businesses in other regions of Armenia,” said Frank Hess, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation in Armenia, during the opening ceremony of the hub.
