EU-funded project launched in Armenia to strengthen civil society

On 22 June, the ‘Sustainable, impactful and inclusive civil society’ (SIICS) project was officially launched in Yerevan, aiming to strengthen civil society in Armenia.

During the event, the 36 sub-grantee organisations selected through an open competition were introduced, along with the project’s main areas of activity.

The project aims to strengthen the role of civil society in Armenia as a resilient, independent, and trusted actor in democratic governance, policy engagement and community empowerment.

The project is implemented with the support of the European Union by the Democracy Development Foundation, People in Need (PIN), and the Boon Scientific and Cultural Foundation.
