Allies in action: Polish and Ukrainian instructors train personnel responsible for preparing recruits

A key instructor-methodological training session was conducted at a training ground in southeastern Poland, dedicated to personnel responsible for preparing recruits for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine) announced today.

The training was implemented and supervised by the international Combined Arms Training Command (CAT-C), which coordinates training for Ukrainian soldiers as part of the EU’s EUMAM mission.

The project aimed to standardise teaching standards, exchange combat experience, and develop optimal training methods, which will be implemented in upcoming basic training cycles.

The event, jointly organised by Polish units and experienced Ukrainian instructors, focused on two pillars: tactics and fire training, focused on improving shooting techniques and teaching weapons handling methods.

The EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine) aims at strengthening the capacity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defend Ukraine’s territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders and to deter and respond to possible future military offensives by Russia and other potential aggressors. EUMAM works closely together with all other like-minded international partners to provide training support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. All mission activities are located on EU soil.
