In the “Support to greater resilience of the Sea of Azov region” project ACTED in partnership with IMPACT and SeeD will conduct primary and secondary research to support 10 key local, national, and international stakeholders (direct beneficiaries) to identify priorities for socioeconomic, psychosocial and environmental policy and programming in the Azov Sea Area. To further contribute to stability and environmental protection in and around Mariupol, IMPACT will conduct an Area-Based Risk Assessment and ACTED will provide targeted capacity-building support to 4 selected Civil Society Organizations (direct beneficiaries) working on environmental issues.

Overall objective: Inform and improve socio-economic recovery and stabilization efforts in the Azov Sea Area, Ukraine by producing a robust evidence base to guide policy and programming 

Objective 1: Guide socioeconomic, psychosocial and environmental policy and programming in the Azov Sea Area

Objective 2: Improve local ability to influence environmental policies and practices in and around Mariupol

1) Evidence and actionable recommendations on socioeconomic, psychosocial and environmental trends in the Azov Sea Area are made available to relevant stakeholders

2) Relevant stakeholders have the ability to track key socioeconomic, psychosocial and environmental trends on a regular basis

3) Understanding of environmental trends and hazards in and around Mariupol is increased

4) Selected CSOs have increased capacity to engage in evidence-based advocacy towards environmental protection and risk management in and around Mariupol
