I am 30 years old and have been passionate about social entrepreneurship since 2016, when I went on a study visit to Poland, to a day care centre for people with disabilities, where they made hand-made articles on order. I wanted to do something similar in Moldova, and began by looking for as much information as I could. After participating in a social entrepreneurship conference in 2018 and meeting a Romanian expert who gave me some advice, I took the first steps towards my own social business. In October 2019, I opened a small shop in Ialoveni where I sell natural products and gifts, working with an NGO, whose employees make hand-made greeting cards, pouches and woven baskets. I’d like to start a workshop soon, and hire two-three people, who could make craft products on order.
