Valeriia graduated with a Bachelor degree in Applied Linguistics in 2021, and is currently working at SoftServe as a Learning Coordinator. For the past five years she has been involved in civic engagement within a variety of Ukrainian NGOs, and has been working in non-formal education for youth areas. In 2018 she became a BFTF (Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship Summer Institute) participant, which is a youth exchange program funded by the US State Department. In the year 2020/2021 she was a Board Member on HR at the European Youth Parliament Ukraine NGO. She also took part in Model European Union in Iași, Romania.

It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
