Matvii Shevchenko is a multifaceted person, he likes to study a lot in his country and abroad, especially now that there is access to online courses around the world. He travels a lot and at some point he realized that European freedoms and human rights are more protected and respected than in Ukraine. From that moment on, he became interested in politics and diplomacy. To date, he completed the third year of the School of Young Ukrainian Diplomat. He also became a member of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine. In 2019, he founded the NGO ‘Volunteer Students’, created a personal book of a volunteer students. He is interested in improving this project and promoting it among European school and university volunteers.
This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a B&S Europe-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
