Danijel Bačan is a second-year master’s student in geography in Zagreb. He is studying spatial planning and regional development and is a teacher’s master to become a geography professor. He is the winner of the scholarship for the excellence of the Zagreb County in 2022 and he is the winner of the Rector’s award in 2021 for his work on the political situation of the Western Balkans. Danijel is a member of the Zagreb County Youth Council and he plays in the Zagreb folk choir. He is also a member and PR manager of YATA Croatia. His personal interests are in the field of political, urban and regional geography. During his studies, he published several scientific papers and he is a participant of the Academy for Regional Development and EU Funds at the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia. He did his professional internship at the Local Action Group “Sava” and at the Institute for European and Globalization Studies.
