Ruzanna Barseghyan

Ruzanna is an artist, who greatly admires nature and loves to revive its beauty in her work. She is a secondary school student in Armenia and a keen Math enthusiast. Three words that can describe her are curious, determined, and open-minded. She appreciates every moment of her life and aspires to live it to the fullest. She is looking forward to this new adventure in her life that comes with being a part of the YEA initiative.

Valeria Barseghyan

  • Current residence: Armenia, Ashtarak
Valeria studies at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. She is interested in marketing and photography, and in her spare time, she likes to read books, watch movies, and play sports. She also enjoys volunteering and does so in various organisations. She has also created a youth group in her community, and together they implement several projects to improve community life.

Nvard Baghdasaryan

Nvard is a very considerate, understanding and kind individual. She is sincere, intelligent, well-read, hardworking, and always punctual. She has very strong leadership skills and a capacity to unite people and help them work together towards a common goal. She is looking forward to developing her leadership skills with the YEA initiative, and the new opportunities it will bring.

Varduhi Ayvazyan

Varduhi is a young professional, business development specialist and consultant. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor degree in Economics. Identifying opportunities and developing new ideas and approaches, working on new projects by maximizing efficiency and bringing tangible results, overcoming professional challenges, and powering ongoing growth are what motivate Varduhi’s professional drive. As a young enthusiast, she strives to have valuable input in solving current challenges, developing her country, and building a better future.

Mihran Aslanyan

Mihran is a programming student, interested in cybersecurity, geography, and psychology. He’s an active citizen and volunteers at many local organisations. He believes that young people hold the key to creating a better future and is looking forward to putting his beliefs into action through the YEA initiative.

Lusine Abrahamyan

  • Current residence: Armenia, Oshakan
Lusine is a secondary school student and is one of the members of the “Uniting Bridge” social non-governmental organization (NGO). She is also an active member of EuroClub Oshakan. She enjoys leading an active lifestyle and making new acquaintances. She likes travel, psychology, winemaking and participating in various events and information programmes.

Sona Hovsepyan

  • Current residence: Armenia, Yeghvard
Sona holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Audit and is a board member of the “Yeghvard Youth Ecological” non-governmental organisation (NGO), responsible for communication and public relations in her role. She is also vice president of the Armenian Centre for Education and Youth non-governmental organisation (NGO), has conducted several youth projects in Yeghvard City and is an experienced youth trainer at the Local School of Democracy.

Sofi Abrahamyan

  • Current residence: Armenia
Sofi is currently studying for a Bachelor of Translation Studies at Artsakh State University. She works at “Wikimedia Armenia” a non-governmental organisation (NGO), coordinating the Wikiclub in her community and teaching other youngsters about Wikipedia tools and editing skills. Being a huge fan of Erasmus+ projects, she thinks that the experience gained from her participation in these projects has contributed significantly to her better understanding of EU values.

Simon Arsenyan

Simon is currently studying at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia to become a programmer. He is active in his community and is a member of the “Uniting Bridge” social non-governmental organisation (NGO). In his free time, he loves watching films. He is excited about the new opportunities and challenges he will face with the YEA initiative.

Nvard Poghosyan

  • Current residence: Armenia, Ashtarak
Nvard is currently studying at the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing at the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE). In parallel with her studies, she leads an active social and volunteer life. She is the lead of the Aragatsotn regional council of the Local School of Democracy, and she is a member of the NDI debate club and the “Uniting Bridge” non-governmental organisation (NGO), where she implements small projects aimed at community development and democratisation.

Nina Melikyan

  • Current residence: Armenia, Ashtarak
Nina is a secondary school student, interested in international relations, technology, and IT and she speaks three languages – Armenian, Russian and English. Nina believes in acceptance, equality, kindness, respect, and the power of her voice, and she hopes to use it within the YEA initiative to help change the world.

Narek Davtyan

  • Current residence: Armenia, Yerevan
Narek is a young professional and Bachelor degree graduate in Intercultural Communication. He is currently implementing several initiatives and projects which are aimed at helping people from vulnerable groups. He stands for discipline and leadership and believes in human unity and kindness. He has dedicated his life and will continue to do so to make this world a better and more inclusive place for everyone.

Milena Hovhannisyan

  • Current residence: Armenia, Ashtarak
Milena is a secondary school student and future programmer who aspires to continue her studies at the American University of Armenia. She likes to volunteer and is currently doing so in many organisations. She also likes to spend time with and teach young people about her skills and talents. Milena believes that young people can connect countries and develop the world into a better and more secure future for all.

Meri Batikyan

  • Current residence: Armenia, Yerevan
Meri holds a Bachelor degree in Law from Yerevan State University and is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Law at the American University of Armenia (AUA). She is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic at this university and is passionate about human rights, social justice, and international law. She also participates in a lot of projects conducted by different non-governmental and other organisations, such as the“Armenian Representative Office of the American Bar Association”, “For Equal Rights”, “Article 3 Club”, “The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom South Caucasus”, the “Agate Rights Defence Centre for Women with Disabilities” and “Independent Observer…

Margarita Hovhannisyan

  • Country of origin: Armenia
  • Current residence: Armenia, Ashtarak
Margarita studies at the Institute of Technologies and Electronics of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA), specialising in Computer Engineering. When she is not studying, she participates in training organised by different IT companies to have a more practical understanding of various IT branches. Margarita has also established a youth group in her community, where she provides a variety of training courses for young people. She is also interested in volunteering and does so for diverse organisations.
