Meri holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Yerevan State University. Currently, she is doing her Master’s degree in Law at the American University of Armenia. Meri works as a Lawyer, and in addition, she is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic at the University. She is very passionate about human rights, social justice, and international law. Meri participated in a lot of projects conducted by different NGOs and organizations, among which are Armenian Representative Office of the American Bar Association, For Equal Rights, Article 3 Club, The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom South Caucasus, Agate Rights Defense Center for Women with Disabilities, Independent Observer Public Alliance, etc. At the same time, to enhance her skills, Meri participated in legal training, summer schools and courses. She believes that the protection of human rights and the spread of democratic values will help us create a stronger society.
This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a B&S Europe-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
