Funded by the European Union and the Hertie Foundation, the Schwarzkopf-Foundation is awarding three fellowships to young European educators for 2025 as part of the Educational Network Understanding Europe.
The fellowship programme aims to support young European educators in developing new workshops on topics related to ‘Transnational Solidarity and Resilience amidst multiple crises’, ‘Fundamental rights’, and ‘Security’. These workshops should be designed for students aged 13 and older, ensuring they are accessible, diversity-oriented, and responsive to the interests and lived experiences of young people.
As a fellow, you will develop a new peer-to-peer workshop, spend approximately 30 hours of work on the fellowship per month between March and August 2025, and participate in three events, including the European Summer School in Berlin.
The call is open to young Europeans, including from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, aged 18–27 years old, with substantial experience in peer-to-peer education and civic education and at least B2-level of English.
The successful candidate will receive financial support of €2,700 (€450/month, March-August). All travel, accommodation and food costs for events in person are covered.
The deadline for applications is 13 February. To apply, please fill in the online form and attach a sketch that introduces your ideas for a workshop and your Curriculum Vitae.
