Sign up for Kyiv workshop on debunking disinformation on the EU and its support for Ukraine

The Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine invites journalists, educators, and civil society activists to participate in a two-day capacity-building event in Kyiv – ‘Debunking disinformation on the European Union and the EU’s support to Ukraine: Fact-checking Workshop.’

The event will take place on 5 and 6 June in Kyiv (the location will be shared with selected participants).

Experts and speakers on countering disinformation will show how Russian propaganda exploits the topic of European integration and support for Ukraine, and highlightways to verify information using specialised tools. The workshop also provides an opportunity to meet like-minded people to work on ideas for possible joint projects.

Speakers will be Svitlana Slipchenko, Deputy Executive Director of Vox Ukraine, and Dzvenyslava Shcherba, journalist and analyst at Internews Ukraine.

The deadline for registration is 29 May, 8pm.

Selected participants will receive detailed information and the agenda by email on 30 May.
