SALTO: webinar on youth volunteering and preparedness

The SALTO Resource Centre invites all involved in youth work to join two online webinars to study how youth volunteering, especially the European Solidarity Corps, can play a meaningful role in strengthening preparedness at community level.

The call is open to youth workers, trainers, youth leaders, youth project managers, youth policy makers, volunteering mentors, youth coaches, youth researchers, volunteering organisations, civil society organisations, and civil protection organisations, including from the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine).

The two interconnected webinars will focus on the topic of preparedness and what this new priority means for youth and volunteering programmes. 

The first webinar on ‘The contribution of youth volunteering to Resilience and the European Preparedness Strategy’ will take place on 22 January.

The second webinar, ‘Youth Volunteering and Civil Protection: Practices and opportunities within the European Solidarity Corps’, is scheduled for 19 February.

While the webinars are interconnected, participants may attend Webinar 1 as a standalone session. Participation in Webinar 1 is recommended in order to fully benefit from Webinar 2.

The deadline for applications is 21 January.

SALTO is a network of seven Resource Centres working on European priority areas within the field of youth. The initiative provides non-formal learning resources for youth workers and youth leaders, and organises training and contact-making activities to support organisations and National Agencies (NAs) within the framework of the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Youth programme, the European Solidarity Corps, and beyond.
