Online Course: Doing Journalism during an Infodemic


The ‘Transitions’ (TOL), one of Central Europe’s leading journalism educators, offers a self-paced new e-learning course: ‘Doing journalism during an Infodemic: Crash Course Package’. The course consists of three separate interactive classes, which can be completed in 30 minutes, and covers topics including:

  • Reporting on science when you’re not a scientist;
  • Methods for debunking myths and hoaxes;
  • Fact-checking techniques.

The courses are currently available in Romanian and Ukrainian.

This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service.
