The European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have announced a grant to implement a youth internship programme within local government bodies.
Through this competition, the EU and UNDP will select a capable civil society organisation to comprehensively implement a youth internship programme within the local government bodies of partner communities.
The aim of the programme is to help young people gain practical work experience in local government, and to help communities involve young people in the recovery process and build a talent pool. As part of the programme, 75 young people will undertake internships in 15 communities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.
To be eligible to apply, community or charitable organisations should be officially registered as legal entities, operate within the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government, and have at least three years’ experience in the field covered by the competition.
The maximum budget for the project proposal must not exceed US$40,000.
The deadline for applications is 4 June.
The grant competition is organised as part of ‘EU4Recovery – Empowering Communities in Ukraine’ (EU4Recovery) project – the flagship partnership between the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine.
