The ‘Ozun Yarat’ (‘Do It Yourself’) contest, announced last summer by the European Union, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, will conclude on 15 November.
The competition, heldas a part of the EU4Climate regional initiative, aims to encourage more people in Azerbaijan to upcycle products they would normally throw away.
Those people sending the best ideas on how to turn waste into usable products through the Ozun Yarat platform can receive up to 1,500 AZN.
The ‘Ozun Yarat’ platform, developed and funded by UNDP and the EU in partnership with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, was first launched in 2020 to help spread the popularity of DIY (‘do it yourself’) as an effective way of reducing waste and other damaging environmental impacts.
