These recommendations were developed by Innovative Pedagogy at the Ukrainian State University named after Mykhaylo Dragomanov as part of the ‘EU4Youth – Post-conflict Education and Trauma-Informed Pedagogy’ programme.
The project is implemented by the Department of Primary Education and Innovative Pedagogy at the Ukrainian State University named after Mykhaylo Dragomanov, in partnership with Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania) and with the support of the EU and the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As part of the project, University experts developed and conducted a series of training sessions for educators entitled ‘Psychosocial Support for Primary School Children’. Teachers learned to recognise early signs of stress and anxiety in children, studied international practices for working with trauma, and mastered techniques for creating a safe resource environment in the classroom and maintaining their own emotional balance.
