YEAs podcast hosts new EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan

On 23 October, the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan released a new episode of its Avropa Dalğası (European Wave) podcast.

This episode features a special guest – Marijana Kujundžić, the Ambassador of the European Union.

Marijana Kujundžić was appointed as the EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan on 30 August 2025 to replace Peter Michalko who recently completed four years of diplomatic service in Baku.

The interview is led by Sahila Aslanova, a Young European Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Kujundzic shared detailed insights about the ‘Education Shapes Destiny’ campaign, led by the EU Delegation, and the study opportunities in Europe available to Azerbaijani students.

She also spoke about her first impressions of Baku city, and shared her views on Azerbaijani youth and education.

The Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) initiative brings together socially engaged youth from the six Eastern Partner countries, the European Union and the United Kingdom to foster dialogue and to raise awareness about the EU and its cooperation with its Eastern partner countries.
