Ukraine: ten more Women’s Employment Centres open in Sumy and Mykolaiv regions

The doors of ten more Women’s Employment Centres have opened in the Sumy and Mykolaiv regions as part of the EU-funded ‘WE ACT2: Acting for Women and Their Opportunities’ project.

All 20 planned Women’s Employment Centres in Sumy, Mykolayiv, Poltava and Dnipro regions are now operating. They help women in difficult life situations to increase their economic potential.

In these centres, women can learn about employment opportunities in their area, as well as about government and donor programmes to support women. Women are also offered courses on in-demand professions and lectures on employment.

The ‘WE ACT2: Action for Women’s Empowerment’ project is implemented by UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, with financial support from the European Union, in partnership with the NGO Innovative Social Solutions.
