Ukraine: EU-supported project in Kryvyi Rih repurposes activities in response to war

Another EU-supported civil society organisation in Ukraine has repositioned itself for wartime activities.

Before the Russian invasion, the ‘Union of Responsible Citizens’ NGO supported local civic activists in Kryvyi Rih and nearby rural settlements.

The NGO now helps people with disabilities, IDPs, and the military. Through an existing network of partners, the team is responding to the urgent needs of the city and neighbouring regions.

Together with partners in Ukraine and abroad, the NGO has purchased specially adapted buses to help evacuate over 500 people with disabilities from the region, helped open two IDP shelters, provided logistical support and emergency equipment and supplies for hospitals.
