Ukraine Energy Support Fund to receive €4.5 million contribution from Spain
Spain has made a contribution of €4.5 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, set up at the request of the European Commission.
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund will then transfer the funds to Ukrainian energy companies, contributing to the support provided by European governments to Ukraine’s energy sector and its citizens affected by the Russian war this winter.
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was set up to enable Ukraine to receive donations to finance the purchase of fuels, equipment, services and capital needed to repair energy and heating infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks.
