Ukraine: Energy Support Fund inspects equipment donated to OdesaGas

The Energy Community Secretariat (ECS), co-chaired by the European Commission, announced today that it has conducted a visit to Odesagaz as part of the verification process for equipment procured through the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. 

This verification encompassed a range of critical aspects, including the installation and operational status of gas generators within the main administrative building, assessment of functionality of donated radio stations, and validation of appropriate fuel consumption. 

The verified equipment is expected to significantly improve services in OdesaGaz, reinforce a stable energy supply across the Odessa region and enhance the well-being of its citizens.

OdesaGas is a cornerstone enterprise serving over 630,000 consumers. The gas distribution network’s span of 10,500 kilometers and distribution of approximately 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually underscore the impact of collaborative initiatives on energy supply safety.

The Ukraine Energy Support Fund (UESF) was established to provide financial support for repairing critical energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks and to keep the energy sector functioning. It is managed by the Energy Community Secretariat.
