Team Europe launches major development initiatives for Georgia

The EU and its Member States representatives in Georgia have launched two new Team Europe development initiatives for the country. One focuses on balanced territorial development and the other on the environment and health.

The launch event took place on 17 June in Aragvi, during a local festival, hosted by the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Georgia and the Local Action Group.

The ‘Balanced Territorial Development’ initiative aims to help bridge the divide between urban and rural communities and to create new opportunities for people in all Georgian regions (information in Georgian).

The ‘Green and Health’ initiative aims to protect Georgia’s nature, improve waste management services, and make municipalities greener (information in Georgian).
