Today and tomorrow, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will participate in the Ukraine Recovery Conference, taking place in Rome. She will be joined by Executive Vice-President Raffaele Fitto, along with Commissioners Valdis Dombrovskis, Andrius Kubilius, Marta Kos, Dan Jørgensen, Ekaterina Zaharieva, and Glenn Micallef.
The conference marks the fourth edition of this annual high-level political event dedicated to Ukraine’s rapid recovery and long-term reconstruction in the face of Russia’s full-scale war of aggression. The conference serves as a platform to align political support and mobilise funding.
The European Commission plays a key role in maintaining international focus on Ukraine’s recovery, both during the war and in the post-war period. Over the course of the two-day event, the Commission will announce additional measures to support Ukraine.
In the margins of the conference, the Commissioners will have meetings with national representatives, and participate in side events focused on reconstruction, the country’s defence industry and energy infrastructure, Ukraine’s EU path and EU support for the scientific and cultural sector.
More details can be found in the respective calendar of activities, available online.
