National Youth Council of Moldova adopts resolution to prioritise youth in 2025 parliamentary elections

During the National Conference of Youth Organisations, held from 29 to 30 November, the National Youth Council of Moldova developed and adopted the ‘Resolution for Prioritising Youth on the Electoral Agenda of the 2025 Parliamentary Elections’.

This resolution was created with the active involvement of representatives from youth organisations across the country, who contributed ideas, solutions, and recommendations that reflect the needs and aspirations of the youth in the Republic of Moldova.

The resolution serves as an important strategic document for the youth sector, providing political parties and independent candidates with a clear direction for the 2025 parliamentary elections. The main goal of this initiative is to integrate the priorities of youth into electoral platforms, thereby promoting the visibility of the sector and encouraging active youth participation in decision-making processes.

Among the key priorities included in the resolution are: the creation of permanent platforms for dialogue between youth and authorities, promoting youth electoral participation, supporting youth organisations, direct consultations with youth, as well as initiatives in the areas of education, labour and economy, health, and social inclusion.

This resolution emphasises the commitment of youth to be involved in the decision-making process and marks an important step in strengthening their role in the development of a more active and responsible society.

The resolution was developed during the National Conference of Youth Organisations, organised by the National Youth Council of Moldova, with the support of the project ‘EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment’, co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
