More than 70 students meet EU Ambassador to Armenia at Vanadzor State University

On 24 February, the EU Delegation to Armenia held an event at Vanadzor State University, as part of its initiative ‘The European Union for Youth: Let’s talk about what unites us’. The event was supported by the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) initiative.

During the meeting, more than 70 students had the opportunity to engage directly with the EU Ambassador Vassilis Maragos.

The EU Ambassador said that such meetings build “a unique bridge between the academic communities of Europe and Armenia and, within the context of the future development of EU-Armenia relations, bring cultural diversity while reaffirming the importance of dialogue.”

On the occasion of Book Giving Day, the EU Ambassador also presented the most active students with selected works of contemporary European literature translated with EU support.

The initiative will be continued at leading universities in Yerevan and other regions with the aim of promoting dialogue among young people on EU values.
