Moldovan exports to EU increase substantially in 2022


According to the EU Delegation to Moldova, exports of a number of Moldovan goods to the European Union increased significantly in 2022.

In January-September 2022, exports of machinery, electrical equipment and parts rose by 3.4% to US$393.5 million. In second place were oilseeds and fruits (US$266.7 million, up 280.5%), and in third place were cereals (US$204.7 million, up 249.6 per cent).

The highest growth of exported volumes was recorded for fats and oils of animal and vegetable origin – about 480%.

According to the EU Delegation, Moldovan products are gaining a firmer foothold in European Union markets.
