Moldova receives new doses of COVID-19 vaccine through EU Civil Protection Mechanism

On 8 May, a new batch of 100,800 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were delivered to the Republic of Moldova. The shipment was provided by Romania within the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism.

The vaccines were met at the border by the Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ioniță and the representatives of the Moldovan authorities. Vaccines will be distributed at vaccination points throughout the country.

With these deliveries, Moldova has so far received more than 400,000 vaccines through the COVAX platform, supported by Team Europe, and the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union.
