EU4Youth: the National Network of Local Youth Councils of Moldova receives grant of €40,000 to strengthen youth involvement at the local level

The National Network of Local Youth Councils of Moldova has received a grant of €40,000 within the framework of the #EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment project, co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ.

This funding aims to increase youth participation by promoting their involvement in the local decision-making process, institutional development, and strengthening the capacity of district/municipal Youth Councils, as well as promoting dialogue with Local Public Authorities.

The activities covered by the grant will include a hackathon with the participation of local councils for the development of youth policies and projects, providing training to strengthen the Youth Policy Ambassadors network, and other dialogue activities between local councils and local public authorities.

Additionally, the grant prioritises the involvement of young people from remote and disadvantaged regions, with the ultimate goal of empowering more youth and providing them with as many development opportunities as possible. The implementation of these activities will begin in November and will continue until the summer of 2025.
