The Regional Community Development Centre (CRDC), a youth organisation based in Cahul, Moldova, launched the ‘YELI – Youth Empowerment and Leadership Initiative’ in January with the support of the EU4Youth programme. The initiative targeted young leaders from the Cantemir, Leova, Ceadîr-Lunga, Căușeni, and Taraclia districts of Moldova.
Over four days, 25 participants engaged in the ‘YELI’ Leadership Laboratory, developing community action plans aimed at fostering local impact. The primary objective was to equip them with leadership and civic engagement skills to drive positive changes in their communities.
Following the intensive training, the teams presented their projects, with the most promising initiatives receiving awards. The participants are set to implement the knowledge gained within their communities, contributing to their development.
CRDC is a beneficiary of the grant programme under the ‘EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment’ project, co-financed by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
