EU4Youth organises study visit to Wroclaw for public officials and CSOs from EaP countries

From 9-13 September, the ‘EU4Youth phase IV, Youth Engagement and Empowerment’ project, together with the Municipality of Wroclaw, organised a study visit for public officials and CSO representatives from the Eastern Partnership to Wroclaw, Poland, focusing on youth policy and local-level youth participation.

The programme included key meetings with the Wrocław Youth Council, Head of Commission on Education and Youth of the City Council, and the Office on Public Budget, highlighting how local budgeting processes include youth perspectives. The participants visited the Department of Education to explore how youth engagement is integrated into educational policies, and attended the Wroclaw Model of United Nations, a simulation involving 150 European students discussing global political issues.

The study visit included the Office of the European Parliament in Wroclaw and the Passage of Dialogue, a municipal space for social and intercultural activities. The participants also engaged with the European Solidarity Corps, learning about civic engagement and youth volunteerism. They also participated in an EaP experience exchange session on local-level youth participation, sharing best practices from their countries.

The visit provided the participants with an opportunity to gain insights into the mechanisms and best practices of youth policy implementation at the local level in Wroclaw.
