Young people and representatives of public institutions from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine gathered in Chișinău on 11-12 May for a two-day workshop on the Development of Youth Consultative Councils under Ministries.
Throughout the workshop, participants discussed ways to create more effective and inclusive consultation mechanisms to ensure that young people’s voices are heard and reflected in decision-making processes. Through interactive sessions and exchanges of experience, participants explored best practices from Moldova and Ukraine, identified challenges faced by youth consultative structures, and discussed solutions for more active, representative, and sustainable youth participation by 2030.
The workshop also aimed to inspire and encourage the establishment and development of similar consultative bodies in Moldova, promoting stronger cooperation between public institutions and young people at both national and local levels.
The activity was organised by the National Youth Council of Moldova with the support of the ‘EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment’ project, co-funded by the European Union and the German government.
