EU4Youth IV: six Moldovan NGOs awarded €15,000 grants to support young people in remote areas

Six Moldovan civil society organisations working with young people have each been awarded €15,000 grants through the ‘EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment’ project, co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ.

These grants were awarded following an open call and a highly competitive selection process that attracted applications from over 250 NGOs across Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. In Moldova, 36 organisations applied, with six selected for funding based on the quality of their project proposals and commitment to addressing critical issues affecting young people.

The funded projects of the six NGOs will focus on key areas including climate change and environmental awareness, inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, and fostering youth participation at both local and national levels. These initiatives will engage youth in various regions across Moldova, including Balti, Cahul, Taraclia, Gagauzia, Basarabeasca, Ștefan Vodă, Drochia, Cantemir, and Criuleni.

The six organisations awarded grants are:

  1. A.O. “RENAȘTEREA”
  2. A.O. “Asociația pentru Drepturile Omului LEX XXI”
  3. A.O. Centrul Republican “Gutta-Club”
  4. A.O. Centrul Regional de Dezvoltare Comunitară
  5. A.O. “Inițiative Civice pentru Minoritățile Naționale”
  6. “Institutul pentru Inițiative Rurale”

This funding highlights EU4Youth’s commitment in Phase IV to engaging and empowering young people across diverse regions of Moldova.
