EU supports digital mapping of Armenian Brandy

On 23 January, the European Union Delegation to Armenia supported the launch of the Interactive Digital Mapping of Geographical Indication (GI) Armenian Brandy Grape Production Zones at the TUMO Convergence Centre in Yerevan, Armenia.

The new digital platform integrates vineyards, terroir data, and GI compliance tools into a single spatial system. The interactive website represents a key milestone in the EU’s support to Armenia’s brandy sector, combining innovation, quality protection, and rural economic development.

This initiative links traditional agriculture with digital innovation, strengthening institutions and producers through data-driven tools while reaffirming the EU’s long-term commitment to rural development and innovation in Armenia.
