EU launches new platform to inform Ukrainians about EU assistance during war

The EU Delegation to Ukraine has launched a new website https://eu4ukraine.eu/, which provides detailed information on the various EU activities in Ukraine and their results.

The portal has been created to better inform Ukrainians about the benefits and opportunities of the EU-Ukraine partnership during and after the war. The EU Delegation in Ukraine hopes that the website will help build a full and objective picture of the EU-Ukraine cooperation among Ukrainians.

The new communication platform includes sections on the main principles and instruments of EU assistance in Ukraine. The Projects section features more than 200 EU-funded projects, both regional and local. The Opportunities section provides information on ongoing calls for proposals, vacancies and tenders.

The Media section provides links to the latest media information and media gallery, as well as press releases, news, stories and campaigns.

The emergence of such a website is particularly important given Ukraine’s status as a candidate country for EU accession. “It is important that Ukrainians have free access to information and can make an informed decision to support Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, which would mark the state’s full and legitimate return to the united European family,” the EU Delegation to Ukraine said in a press release.

The website is available in English and Ukrainian.

This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a GOPA PACE-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
