EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine to help develop a board role-playing game for young people

The EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) has launched a partnership with Vox Ukraine, an independent analytical platform, to develop integrity and anti-corruption awareness among young people in Chernivtsi, Chervonohrad, Nikopol and Zhytomyr.

As such, Vox Ukraine and the Ukrainian Leadership Academy, with the support of EUACI, will develop a tabletop role-playing game that can be mastered by both young people and teachers of local educational institutions.

The game will be developed based on the results of sociological research, which will show young people’s understanding of corruption and identify gaps in their knowledge. The final phase of the project will be an online integrity marathon and a board game competition.

It is expected that more than 6,000 young people will become more aware of integrity issues as a result of the project. There are also plans to involve 40 teachers in the project and to increase their knowledge of new tools for promoting a culture of integrity among young people. Based on the results of the sociological survey, policy recommendations will also be developed on how to involve young people in anti-corruption activities at a local level.
