EU and WHO provide Armenia with refrigerators for vaccine storage

On 27 August, the European Union and the World Health Organization handed over 30 medical refrigerators for vaccine storage to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia. This equipment will help to provide the supply of vaccines to citizens and overcome the pandemic faster.

“The EU is honoured to provide assistance to Armenia jointly with the WHO, in order to strengthen the capacities of the healthcare sector and to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Jan Plešinger from EU Delegation to Armenia. The refrigerators will be used to keep vaccines and other medical products at a stable temperature, thus offering safer storage facilities, and – consequently – benefiting Armenian citizens.”

The equipment was delivered to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) of the Republic of Armenia.
