How many projects and grantees has the EU’s ‘Creative Europe’ programme supported in recent years? In which cultural and creative sectors were they active and where did they travel to and from, around Europe and beyond?
These data and more are now available on an interactive platform launched by Creative Europe. It provides access to the programme’s performance metrics and data to anyone interested. The accompanying page ‘Creative Europe in numbers’ guides you through the dashboard and offers ready-made dynamic charts to get you initiated into the wealth of the programme data.
With this tool the European Commission aims to foster transparency and deepen the understanding about Creative Europe’s activities and accomplishments through data visualisations, charts, and dynamic maps. Users are invited to explore programme data with the support of customisable filters allowing individuals to tailor their journey by specific interests, such as country or cultural and creative sectors.
A distinct feature of the dashboard is its dedicated section on the Culture strand, offering the possibility to explore data on mobility of artists and cultural professionals under Culture Moves Europe.
The Creative Europe programme 2021-2027 has a budget of €2.44 billion, compared to €1.47 billion for the previous programme (2014-2020). Creative Europe invests in actions that reinforce cultural diversity and respond to the needs and challenges of the cultural and creative sectors. From non-EU countries, the Creative Europe programme is open to cultural and creative organisations from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
