Bringing Light Together: two million Ukrainians exchange 10 million incandescent bulbs for new LEDs

In just one month, Ukrainians have exchanged 10 million incandescent bulbs for new LED bulbs under the joint EU-Ukrainian ‘Bringing Light Together’ programme.

Two million Ukrainians have already benefited from the programme to exchange their old incandescent light bulbs for new energy-saving LEDs for free. The EU Delegation to Ukraine says that the saving from 10 million replaced bulbs is about the same as the capacity of Kyiv thermoelectric power station №5.

With the e-services Diia application, Ukrainians can apply for the exchange of five old incandescent bulbs for the same number of energy-saving LED lamps. It is also possible to exchange light bulbs at the branches of ‘Ukrposhta’ without making an appointment. In this case, the bulbs will be exchanged as they become available.
