Armenia: EU provided €31 million in 2021 to support civil society organisations 


The European Union provided €31 million to support civil society organisations in 2021, according to a summary of EU support to civil society last year, published by the European Union Delegation to Armenia.

A total of 31 projects were implemented by civil society organisations with EU support. Their total funding amounted to €31 million. At the same time, 140 organisations received additional funding through sub-grant schemes.

The grants awarded to civil society supported a wide range of thematic areas. However, 41 per cent were devoted to educational improvements and skills development.
