Moldova: 5,000 people to benefit from improved water supply

Around 5,000 people in Moldova will benefit from improved water supply services, with the inauguration of a new wastewater treatment plant and sewer system developed in Cantemir with EU support.

Attending the inauguration, EU Ambassador Jānis Mažeiks underlined the European Union’s commitment to the development of rural areas in Moldova. The event also marked the finalisation of the EU-funded ‘Development of Rural Areas’ project, implemented by the Austrian Development Agency.

The EU Ambassador also toured a kindergarten in Cantemir, which benefited from EU support to improve its energy efficiency systems.
