Georgia hands back completed EU questionnaire

On 2 April,  Georgia provided answers to the EU’s first questionnaire.

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili handed the completed questionnaire to the Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia, Karl Hartzell.

This is another step in Georgia’s quest to anchor its future in Europe. The EU will now assess Georgia’s progress and readiness,” said a Facebook post by the EU Delegation to Georgia.

Earlier on 11 April, European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi handed the questionnaire to Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili.

All three of the Eastern Partnership countries – Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia – which had applied for EU membership have now returned their completed questionnaires.
